San Diego Botanical Gardens ~ FREE every 1st Tuesday!

The first Tuesday of the month is always free at San Diego Botanical Gardens (formally Quail Botanical Gardens), you will still have to pay for parking! Have four or more people in your car and your parking is FREE too!

This is always a fun day for young familes, but we have even taken advantage of it as a free date and to entertain out of towners!

1st Tuesday = awesome freebies! FREE Birthday Parties, Balboa Park, & SD Botanical Garden!

Balboa Park offers a variety of free museums every Tuesday.  The 1st Tuesday you can visit the following museums ~
Reuben H. Fleet Science Center
Centro Cultural de la Raza
Model Railroad Museum
Natural History Museum

San Diego Botanical Gardens (Quail Botanical Gardens) is FREE every Tuesday! You will still need to pay $2 to park.  If you carpool and have at least 4 people in the car you will get FREE parking too! (I need one more kid!)

Ikea puts on a FREE birthday party for kids every 1st Tuesday.

Time: 4pm-6pm
Party is for all children turning 10 years old or younger during the selected attended party date. Each birthday child is allowed to invite two of their friends to the party. Event includes face painting, a magic show, soda, and cake. Plus, each birthday child will receive a gift from IKEA.

2. 1st Tuesday is (in my opinion) the best FREE Balboa Park day ~ if you are a SD resident you get free admission to the Rueben H Fleet Science Center, The Railroad Museum (which is hard to find if you have never been, it is actually underground), and the Natural History Museum ~ these are all great museums for families including those with young kids.

If you spend $$ to entertain yourself or kids tomorrow, you are crazy!

Tomorrow seems to be THE day for free events in San Diego - check out the calendar here on San Diego Deals & Steals...ok, I'll make it easy & just re-write out the list ~

1. Free 1st Tuesday at Quail Botanical Gardens - carpooling sometimes gets you FREE parking too!
2. Free select museums at Balboa Park
3. Free Birthday party at Ikea for kids under 10 who have a birthday in January - must register
4. Free make n take craft at Del Mar Library
5. Free TEEN craft, activities, & movie at Casa Del Oro Branch Library - drop off those crazy teens at 3pm
6. 630pm - FREE preview of the SD Opera - get some culture!
7. Winter reading incentive program starts at many local libraries - check it out - there are incentives, prizes, weekly drawings and more (for kids & teens).
8.  START YOUR DAY OFF WITH A FREE Breakfast at CHICK FIL A in San Marcos - this is 'our' Chick Fil A - sometimes others have incentives too - but the San Marcos one seems to be the best with give aways.  They actually have FREE breakfast ALL THIS WEEK! call your loval Chick Fil A & see if they have a similar freebie.

Quail Botanical Gardens FREE for Veterans tomorrow!

Veteran's Day only! go today! Wednesday ~ Enjoy!

Just heard that Veterans and their families will recieve free admission and free parking to the Quail Botanical Gardens.  As usual, I would suggest you have proof of service when you go.

Remember there are free treats & meals also at Krispy Kreme, Applebees, and Outback too! Please check my previous posts about these promotions.
