I would not recommend every beauty school, I don't care how inexpensive it is - if it is gross or they just don't know what they are doing, I'd rather go without the service at all. I do however recommend Palomar Institute.
I love getting facials, but at $100+ at a spa it isn't gonna happen. Palomar Institute has facials starting at $25 and they have a very spa like atmosphere inside.
They also have a hair and nails school. I need to get my hair trimmed often and it just seems silly to spend $30+ on a trim at a salon, At Palomar Institute it is about $7-$10. I think a trim is a pretty safe bet even with students. I would proceed with caution on any coloring, or anything chemical - but I have found that some of the students who are just about to graduate do a great job and have saved me lots of money!
They are located in San Marcos click here for info
