A few restaurant deals for Valentine's Day

I don't know if it is unromantic to bring a coupon - but I love spending less on dinner (more money for shopping later).  You aren't cheating by bringing a coupon - coupons are put out there by the restaurant, so don't think you are insulting them by bringing one! I always tip off the original amount personally  - but that is  a personal choice.

Here are a couple fun ideas - in the past restaurants didnt really offer incentives for Valentine's Day - they knew you would come anyway - well thanks to our terrible economy we are being wooed with special incentives - here are a couple, I am sure there will be more as the week goes on & I will update, so make sure to check back.

These aren't exactly fancy - but thought I should put it out there....

Wahoos Fish Tacos has a buy one get one free coupon for the 13th or 14th - nice! casual & recession friendly!

Ikea is offering free kid's meals - no adult purchase necessary - 13th - 15th - not exactly romantic - but check this scenario - feed the kids their free meal - then drop them off at the play room thing for an hour & walk around Ikea w/ your mate - we call that a date in our house (I don't know if that is sad, but we work with what we've got!)

Buca Di Beppo has a coupon for $10 off a bill of $20 or more - in addition to that if you dine in they are offering (for free) Chocolate covered strawberries - no coupon necessary on February 14, 2010 only.

Ruby's is offering a free milkshake (one per party) from February 12 - 14 - must print the attached coupon - it says it cannot be combined with any other offer, but it also does not say a purchase is necessary - not sure.  Either way - a good deal!

I am sure this is just the beginning - make sure to check back!

Happy Valentine's Day!
Kate

  1. we got a free milkshake yesterday at Rubys at the outlet mall - the coupon says it is for a turtle milkshake but the server let the kids pick whatever one they wanted - nice!
