2. 1st Tuesday is (in my opinion) the best FREE Balboa Park day ~ if you are a SD resident you get free admission to the Rueben H Fleet Science Center, The Railroad Museum (which is hard to find if you have never been, it is actually underground), and the Natural History Museum ~ these are all great museums for families including those with young kids.

1st Tuesday = lots of freebies!
1. the first Tuesday of the month is always free at San Diego Botanical Gardens (formally Quail Botanical Gardens), you will still have to pay for parking! Have four or more people in your car and your parking is FREE too!
2. 1st Tuesday is (in my opinion) the best FREE Balboa Park day ~ if you are a SD resident you get free admission to the Rueben H Fleet Science Center, The Railroad Museum (which is hard to find if you have never been, it is actually underground), and the Natural History Museum ~ these are all great museums for families including those with young kids.

I was looking into the Reuben H. Fleet museum... how do you get your kids in? It showed you needed to show them your ID to get in free. Do they just let the kids in with you? Just curious:) Thanks for the ideas!
ReplyDeletehi Erika ~ adults need to show ID (although they don't always ask for it) and children are just let in for free with their adult - it is really fun! I know I didn't answer in time for you guys to go yesterday, but hopefully you can check out free Tuesdays for another musuem next week =)
