Random grocery shopping tip

It took me years to figure this little nugget out - so you are welcome if you do not already know this.  I'm guessing tons of people already know this, but I am surprised by how many don't.

MOST grocery stores will often have sales where a particular item is 2 for x price - ie - Apple Juice - 2 for $6.00, Yogurt 10 for $6.00, etc - here's my hot tip - you do NOT have to buy any more than one to take advantage of the price break! For every one of you that is unimpressed right now there are 5 that are, so I simply must write it.  It is just a tricky trick to get you to hopefully spend more than you were intending on.

This is especially helpful information for those of you (who like me) love to combine coupons with sales - so if you see a sign that says '2/$7.00' - just remember it really means '1/$3.50'.

Happy Shopping!

  1. i have been informed that this does NOT work at VONS - sorry! it does work at several other stores though - Ralphs and Sprouts are my stores of choice - but I remember it being the case at Albertsons the last time I shopped there - only a few months back.

  2. Yes it is at Albertsons too, unless it specifically says right under that they are priced individually at a different price. You do have to be careful of that every once in a while. (Pop-tarts got me just a few months ago)
