Frugal Saturday Options ~ April 24th

So after a couple blustery days the weatherman says we are supposed to have a BEAUTIFUL weekend! Here are just a couple fun free things that should keep your family entertained without spending much of anything!

* Art Walk in Little Italy! 11am - 6pm (Sunday too!)

*Ikea has $1 Meatball plates Saturday & Sunday  - normally $4.29

*Balboa Park has an AWESOME free event for school aged kids (K-12) - get 2 free books as well as entertainment, refreshments, & more! 830am - 1030am

*Free National Parks ends this weekend! If you wanted to take advantage - this is your last chance!

*Encinitas Street Fair is here! YAY! (can you tell this is one of my favorites?!) It just reminds me why I would never leave San Diego! click the link for all the details.

* Spring Garden Festival at Cuyamaca College in El Cajon 9am - 4pm

*Lakeside Western Day Parade starts at 935am - check out the link for more details!

*Linda Vista Multicultural Fair on Linda Vista Rd from 10am - 5pm

*Saturdays in the Park will be celebrating 'Dia De Los Ninos' with special entertainment for the kiddos - 10am - 4pm

*Michaels has a fun make & take for the kids 10am - 1pm (now is a good time to mention they have a TON next weekend all day planned for Mother's Day too - stay tuned!)

*Lowes Build & Grow Clinic is making a bird feeder - totally free for kids 5 & up 10am

*Kung Fu Panda is playing for free at the outdoor movie screening at San Marcos Civic Center (does anyone know of other places that do the same - I would LOVE to promote them!) 630ish - free!

* FREE STORYTIME at the always free Timken Museum of Art in Balboa Park 11am - noon

* San Elijo Lagoon has free guided walks with a naturalist FREE every Saturday!

*Lakeshore Learning Center as always has a free craft from 11am - 3pm for the kiddos every Saturday!

  1. Today my husband and I went to the Encinitas street fair, then later to see Kung Fu Panda, and enjoy some Sombreros with the coupons. Fun times!
