Shameless plug - but hey it is a good deal... and it is MY blog.

OK - so this is a personal shameless plug....but hey, it is my blog.  So we are in the process of something HUGE, an international adoption - we will VERY LIKELY be adopting from Russia or the Ukraine in the next year - only problem...adoption is expensive!

Please check out our etsy store.  I have TONS of stuff listed at WAY less expensive than I normally sell them at Christmas craft fairs.  We are simply selling left overs at LESS than my original cost to sell them FAST!

Shameless plug - yes
Good deal - yes

please check it out - please share with others!

My husband and I would appreciate it more than you know!!

  1. Hhaha, I do appreciate that you guys are earning the money than asking for donations (if you cannot afford the fees, how are you going to support a child?) like many couples I've seen. I'll take a look at your stuff to see if I like anything. (:

  2. we can afford to raise another child - we don't have the full $25,000 that it will cost for legal & travel fees - that is why we are fundraising - not to raise her. adoption is an expensive process - but we do have the funds to raise another child, we have very good jobs (and are obviously frugal =))once she is home she will have an excellent life, medical care, a college fund... - i know it is a common misconception with adoption....

  4. @ Marsha ~ thank you so much for your kind words & I would LOVE for you to post our etsy store on your blog!! yes - international adoption is expensive, but we do not mind fundraising & saving for fees - it is such an awesome experience & i would never trade the time, money, emotions we 'spent' bringing our son home for anything!! that being said - you can adopt in the US for FREE - totally free to adopt from the foster care system & there are over 125,000 LEGALLY FREE orphans in the US (even babies! even healthy kids!) - legally free means they will NOT be reunited w/ bio parents so you wouldnt have that 'risk' - anyway - international was what was right for our family - not trying to push adoption on anyone - but there are free adoptions too!! =)

  5. plus there is a $13,000 adoption tax credit that is applied to any adoption (including our international - so we will get more than half our fees back in a tax credit - I hope i didnt scare anyone off w/ that big number!!) - we dont have that $$ upfront, so we have to fundraise, but LOTS of it comes back after taxes =)
