See Spot surf during the Loews Dog Surfing Competition – the nation’s original surfing competition for man’s best friend. Dozens of canines from across the U.S. will hang 10 (errr, 20) for a great cause.
This popular competition is an extension of Loews Hotels’ award-winning Loews Loves Pets program and has become a hugely successful fundraiser for pet-related charities. This year’s event will benefit the San Diego Police Department Canine Unit through the San Diego Police Foundation.

Schedule:

10 to 10:30 a.m.

Practice sessions by San Diego’s premier surfing school, Coronado Surfing Academy

11 a.m. Event Begins
Heat One: Small Surf Dogs (40 pounds and under)
Heat Two: Large Surf Dogs (41 pounds and over)
Heat Three: Tandem Surfing (dogs and humans)
1 or 2 p.m. Awards Ceremony
