* Michaels has a free 'make & take' book for kids
*Children's Orchard in San Marcos (check your local Children's Orchard) is having a 'fill a bag' sale w/ all their clearance items (TONS AND TONS) - you fill a bag (smaller than a regular grocery bag - but still!) for $5! if you have a little baby you could EASILY fit more than 10 things in - my kids are in 3 & 4t & I can cram 5+ things in - not a bad deal - last time I got a 'Kule' brand cashmere sweater for my son - it worked out to $1 - after he outgrew it I posted it on ebay for 99 cents....it sold for $41! what?? apparently you can find some high end stuff at Children's Orchard!
* Beaumont Elementary (Vista) is hosting a fundraising book fair (free entertainment & a silent auction with some REALLY great stuff - could score a great deal for a great cause!) 11am
*Lakeshore Learning Center in San Marcos always has free make & take crafts from 11am – 3pm.
*Fiesta Del Sol in Solana Beach. Huge street fair full of music, vendors and fun from 9am – 9pm.
*Free movie at the San Marcos Civic Center. Outdoor movie starts at 8pm. Bring your own food or enjoy special pricing at local restaurants.
*Jack’s Pond Nature Center in San Marcos. Free admission 9am-noon every Saturday.
*San Elijo Lagoon has FREE guided walks with a naturalist every Saturday.
* Art Around Adams - FREE event 3-9pm - Adams Ave - in Normal Heights & Kensington
*Western Heritage Days FREE event starts 8am Wieghorst Museum 131 Rea Ave. El Cajon (Sunday too!)
