Saturday Deals & Steals

*Wild West Fest at Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park ~ Carlsbad 11am - 2pm (free - but bring some money for the 'fun zone' rides)

*San Elijo Lagoon Day  10am - 3pm

* Pet Day on the Bay - not free - but a GREAT cause - $10 & a donation of a towel/blanket for Helen Woodward Animal Center gets you (and your dog!) a 1 hour cruise around SD - 10:30am, noon, and 1:30pm

*Teddy Bear Clinic ~ Westfield UTC 11am - 1pm - teaches little ones emergency preparedness

* Kids eat free at Ikea ~ no purchase necessary

* Lakeshore Learning Center has a kids craft 11am - 3pm

FREE STORYTIME at the always free Timken Museum of Art in Balboa Park 11am - noon

Fun Free Weekend!

Junior Carlsbad is an annual race for kids under 12 - focuses on fun & fitness - FREE check out the webpage for details

Lakeshore learning center has a make & take 11am - 3pm for the kiddos

*Jack's Pond Nature Center in San Marcos - FREE every Saturday!

Lowes Build & Grow  clinic  free make & take 10am

* San Elijo Lagoon has free guided walks with a naturalist FREE every Saturday!

Woofstock in Balboa Park looks like ALOT of fun for dog lovers 10am - 3pm (thanks to Karen at SDDogLife for letting me know about this one!)

Escondido Art Walk is every 2nd Saturday 5 -9 pm in downtown Escondido

Seaport Village Buskers Festival is Saturday & Sunday noon - 5pm - check out the 'buskers' - or street performers at Seaport Village! THis is apparently the only festival of it's kind in Southern California.  The festival is free but performers are allowed to accept tips so maybe a have a few dollars handy =) This sounds like a really fun & unique festival!

*Grand Spring Festival! in San Marcos is Sunday 9am - 5pm - this is one of our FAVORITE little street fairs in North County! There are great vendors and also LOTS of fun free things to see - especially fun for our little ones! there are make & take crafts - samples, wheel spinning booths (ie Geico) our kids always come back with a reusable tote full of all kinds of fun stuff & we normally don't even bring our wallet!

LOTS of fun & free stuff this Saturday! (think sunny thoughts!)

Hopefully this list will help you save some money and still have fun this Saturday!

*NEW - 'Ballyhoo in the Bayoo' party at The Disney Store 11am & 3pm - craft, dancing, & fun!

* NEW Kids in the Kitchen - the Junior League of San Diego will hold the 5th annual Kids in the Kitchen on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Liberty Station's Ingram Plaza in Point Loma from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. Ingram Plaza is located directly across from 2640 Historic Decatur Road, San Diego, CA 92109 (please see map below). Kids in the Kitchen is FREE and open to the public - this looks like so much fun and it is educational - its goal is to help kids become healthier!
*St. Patrick's Day Parade in Balboa Park 11am sharp! Festival afterwards

* Lowes Build and Grow clinic is at 10am - kids 5 & up can build a table top basketball hoop
*Lakeshore Learning Center click here to find out what craft they are making FREE this week! 11am - 3pm

* Free Wellness Fair at Mission Hills High School in San Marcos - 10am - 2pm

* Jo-Ann fabric and craft store is hosting FREE DEMOS all day
