San Diego Restaurant Week ~ September 19th - 23rd

San Diego Restaurant Week is an AWESOME opportunity to check out some of San Diego's finest restaurants at a great discount!  We love to check out fancy schmancy restaurants during San Diego Restaurant week that we might not normally be able to fit into our budget.

You MUST make a reservation for this event - space is limited!  Check out the link and call your favorite restaurant. 

HOT TIP!  You can buy discounted gift cards to MANY of the participating restaurants at Costco!  My husband and I very much enjoy Vigilucci's - it is worth every cent, but it is expensive for our budget - last year we went to Vigiluccis during Restaurant week - we purchased our gift cards at Costco for an automatic 20% off (actually 22% off because we have an executive membership) and then applied those gift cards to the awesome discounted 3 course meal.  It worked like a charm!  Please call and double check that you can use gift cards at whatever restaurant you choose - this was just our experience at one restaurant - I hope it will apply to others as well.

San Diego Restaurant Week GOING ON NOW - make your reservations & book your babysitters NOW!!

IF YOU HAVEN"T GONE YET TRY TO MAKE A FUN DATE THIS WEEKEND! LAST CHANCE!

San Diego Restaurant Week is the BEST! So many restaurants participate each year all over San Diego County!

Basically it is a deeply discounted set menu for one week only - we love to make one of these nights a special date night, it feels very fancy, but the price is much more managable. 

Make sure to check out the restaurants and make a reservation soon, some fill up very quickly!

Another tip - last year we went to Vigilucci's (so good I can't even explain) - the discount was amazing, but if you know me, I'm not going to stop there - I thought ahead and purchased a Vigilucci's gift card at Costco before going (20% off the value) - PLUS I used my Costco AMEX (which we always pay off in full so we are never charged interest) and got 2% back there too.  Once I scored that trifecta of deals it seemed silly NOT to go out for a fancy dinner.
