Family Pumpkin Painting ~ Oceanside 10/30/10

The Mission Branch Library in Oceanside is hosting a fun free family event!  Paint a pumpkin (to take home!) while listening to special Halloween storytime.

Octover 30th 2-3pm while supplies last!

We love storytime and other free events at our local library! I HIGHLY suggest checking out your local library - there are usually several free events for kids and adults every month.  You can also borrow books, CDs, DVDS and more!

Sunday 1-4pm - 3 seperate Adult only make & takes - (ring, necklace & bookmark) - three seperate make and takes - all are really cute and are only for the first 30 people who sign up - i am not sure if you can sign up for more than one or if you need to pick your favorite. Each of these would make a cute little gift  (Kate's always thinking ahead!)

I highly suggest you call your local store and make sure they are participating before you make a special trip!

San Marcos Alive ~ Celebration of the Arts -

10am - 4pm - San Marcos Civic Center - GREAT family event!

This is a not a huge venue - but if you have young kids that are into make & takes this is totally worth the drive! Our kids LOVED the crafts at the last San Marcos ALIVE.

There will be free live entertainment, juried art shows, fine art, food, and more!

Free Phineas & Ferb make & take at the Disney Store 8/4/10

Anybody have kids that watch 'Phineas and Ferb'?  I have never even heard of it, and we don't have cable anymore - my guess is it is on the Disney channel & it looks like it is for 'big kids' - really not sure....

Anyway, you can make (and take) a 'Perry the Platypus' inaction figure.... yes, and inaction figure.  I am guessing this is a joke for those who are familiar with the show.  Make and takes will be on Saturday August 14th. There are two sessions - one at 11am & one at 1pm. 

We have attended several Disney store make & take events - always LOT of fun!

SD Children's Film Festival will be showing 'the Great Mouse Detective' at 1pm

Generations Church at 1106 Whaley Street Oceanside, CA 92054 is also hosting what looks like a very fun Easter Event from 11am - 4pm on Saturday April 3rd. There will be games, activities, and food ~ all for free! The public is welcome - bring a friend!

MAGIC 92.5 and Z90.3 will bring the Hip-Hop Drop to Otay Ranch Town Center from 10am - 1pm in the large grass area in the north parking lots. 15,000 eggs will be hunted by children ages 0-12. A photo op. with the Easter Bunny will be held on this day. http://www.otayranchtowncenter.com/
