Swagbucks is my favorite internet free money makers, I just had to share again.  Please understand this is NOT a 'get rich quick' type thing, but if you sign up & use it you will earn free gift cards, prizes or even cash (whatever you choose from the 'swagstore') .

TIPS FOR EARNING SWAGBUCKS
-  the EASIEST is to install the tool bar and use it for all of your searches (think of it as your new google) - You can easily earn 10+ in a search - I usually 'win' several times a day!
- make sure to log in your birthday for 50 points on your birthday! These will be awarded automatically!
- go to the 'Special Offer's tab on the left side column - click on the 'view our no obligation offers' - just go through the offers quickly - 'skip' 'skip' 'skip' - it takes me about 10 seconds - you can do it everyday once a day & you will be rewarded with 1 - 2 swagbucks every time.
- just opening your swagbucks homepage will get you 1 - 2 everyday too!
- Daily Polls can be done once a day (left side column) - one question = 1 - 2 swagbucks everyday
- There is also a facebook fan group that can help you earn with codes.   Just don't post codes on your facebook! You can alert people that they are there - but don't post the actual code.
- Check out the 'Swidget' at the bottom right of my blog - often times there are free codes there - just copy and paste for free bucks!
-Honestly 99% of mine come just from searching, I guess I could earn more the other way, but it adds up pretty fast just by searching!  Enjoy!

Free/ Inexpensive Family Fun this Saturday!

LOTS of fun stuff to do this Saturday! Some things might not be such a great idea in the rain, but there are SEVERAL cool things that will keep the kids (and you!) frugally entertained & dry!

*'families stand together' KPBS & The Escondido Children's Museum are hosting a free family event - there will be a screening of a special movie about feeling secure during tough times, Clifford the dog will be there for a 'meet & greet', and there will be lots of fun giveaways. 9am - 1230pm - event is free but you must RSVP for a screening time. WEBSITE SAYS RAIN OR SHINE! Even if you did not RSVP for a screening time this should still be a great event (there will probably be lots of no shows b/c of the rain so you may still get a seat even without the RSVP) - they marketed this all the way up to LA so it sounds like it is worth the drive out - we are going at 9am no matter how much it rains!

*Michaels arts & crafts - 'free' make & take (there is often a nominal fee for these crafts - sometimes free, sometimes you have to buy one item & you get to decorate free - still always very inexpensive) 10am - 2pm

*Lakeshore Learning Center

*Museums on Us is a cool program for Bank of America Customers - The New Children's Museum & Birch Aquarium are FREE this weekend when you show your Bank of America card - nice!

* San Elijo Lagoon has free guided walks with a naturalist FREE every Saturday! http://www.sanelijo.com/ - also probably not a great rainy day activity - but keep in mind for the future

*FREE Movie Screening at San Marcos Civic Center (these are AWESOME!) it is outdoors so bring jackets & blankets - 630pm - *this may be canceled if there is still rain =(

*always check with your local library for Saturday craft days - this Saturday there are confirmed craft at Del Mar (MUST REGISTER) & Campo Morena Branches

Knott’s Berry Farm will look like Santa’s Toy Shop this year as it stocks thousands of toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Drive. This year guests can simplify their holiday gift buying by purchasing a $15 gift from one of several merchandise locations in Knott’s Marketplace and then bringing it to Knott’s Main Gate for free admission. Those wishing to bring their own, new, unwrapped gift valued at $15 or more, will be able to purchase a regular Knott’s Merry Farm admission for only $15. Donate a toy online! For those who wish to donate to Toys for Tots online, simply click on the Toys for Tots symbol and your $15 donation will purchase a gift for the Toys for Tots Drive and provide a ticket to Knott’s as a thank you. This year’s campaign at Knott’s is supported by UPS, who will transport collected toys to the local U.S. Marine Corps drop-off center.
