I heard about Free Night of Theater for the first time last year when I had just started this blog! I am so excited that it is back!  You can check out the list of available shows - hurry! Many are already sold out. 

Combine FREE Theater tickets with a discounted dinner (Restaurant.com or an Entertainment Book Coupon perhaps) for a very inexpensive date night. 

Free Night of Theater is actually a nationwide event so make sure to pass this info on to anyone you think might enjoy it - not just those in SD!

'Taste of Downtown' Wednesday 9/1/10

I have posted so many free concerts and while there are weekly concerts in San Marcos I usually do not post about them because when there are so many free concerts why should I post about San Marcos who generally charges $5 per person!

Well San Marcos is finally hosting a FREE concert - yay!

August 14th starting at 6pm

The Corvettes ~ Doo Wop & Motown Show Band

Starts at 6pm - concert is outdoors - bring low back beach chairs or blankets.  You can bring a picnic dinner or purchase from a vendor at the event.  Please note that no alcohol is allowed in the park.

Wednesday is Movie night at Stone Brewing Company ~ 21 & up

This event is only for those who can provide proof that they are over 21!

Every Wednesday night Stone Brewing Company offers a free movie screening (usually only for those 21 and up!) - tonight they are showing 'Monty Python & the Holy Grail' - classic.

It is outdoor seating, so dress accordingly!  It is free, but seating is limited.  The movie starts at 8:30pm.

So you can't take the kids, but it sounds like an inexpensive mid-week date night to me!  Maybe find another couple to swap babysitting with - let them go this week, you go next week.

If my husband didn't teach on Wednesday nights we would probably ask a family member to babysit -  go out to dinner with an Entertainment book coupon - then catch our free movie - glamorous? maybe not, but it is keeping us debt free!
