Get your makeup professionally done at the MAC counter for *free*

If you normally buy make up from a department store you really should take advantage of the freebies that come with it.  I personally use a little of everything - MAC, Mary Kay, and good old Maybelline.

Here is a fun little tip - At the MAC counter you can make an appointment to have your make up professionally applied for FREE - well sort of - you still need to purchase $50 worth of product - but if you were going to make a purchase anyway you could take advantage of this fun freebie.  Keep it in mind when you are having photos taken or maybe even just for a date night.  You do not need an appointment but I do highly suggest calling and making an appointment especially if you are planning on going on a weekend.  I have taken advantage of this deal at the MAC counter at Macy*s Carlsbad - but call your location to what specials they offer.

Also - if you purchase MAC makeup - remember to keep your empty containers to recycle - if you bring in 7 MAC empties you will get a FREE lipstick. It takes me a while to get this many - but I have taken advantage of this freebie a few times - works like a charm!

I fully understand one can argue there is less expensive make up options - I just wanted to share that this option exists if you already use this brand.

Kidsville Playtown Giveaway! Enter to win TWO free admission tickets!

Kidsville Playtown is open for business in the Carlsbad mall. We checked it out a few weeks back and our kids have found their new favorite hangout! It is an adorable little kid's sized town with all the trimmings.

My little girl spent at least an hour in the dress up theater putting on shows. My son ran from little house to little house, he loved it all - but his favorite was the fire station. There is a grocery store, an old fashioned soda shop, work shop, doctor's office, kitchen, a castle and so much more.

Admission is $10 for the first child (walking to 10 years) - 2nd child is $6

Non-Walkers are FREE with a paid sibling or $5

One thing that I really appreciate about Kidsville Playtown is that they will allow you to bring in your own food - it is SO GREAT for us! My three year old 'needs' to eat like every twenty minutes and I absolutely love that I can simply bring him some snacks. They even let us pop in and out for lunch - we grabbed some lunch and we were able to bring it back to eat at their little lunch tables. You could really play there all day!

My son was SO EXCITED when we saw their party room - he is really campaigning for a birthday party at Kidsville. There are lots of great options for a Kidsville birthday party. The set up is adorable and the staff is so great. Our family really appreciated the pirate party and princess party birthday party they set up for us to see.

Walmart is one of the best sites for free samples by mail! They always have several free items available and they mail it right to your home!!

Right now (among other things) they are sending out samples of Secret Clinical Strength Deoderant!  These are awesome little travel sized deoderants - literally the exact same thing that so many people would normally pay about $1 for before going on a trip!  Fill out the short form and in a few weeks one will appear in your mailbox!

Tips for freebies by mail

~ ALWAYS use a 'junk' email - just in case! 
~ be patient - sometimes these samples take their sweet time - up to a month or more to make their way to your house - but honestly, I cannot remember a day that we did not have something free in our mailbox.
~ make sure to keep signing up for them - you will find that there are TONS of things & it takes very little time & effort, it seems like nothing but it adds up! We have signed up (and recieved) everything from DVDs to magazines to snacks to shampoo to kids toys to toothpaste- really!

Just know that these little things really add up!

Click here to get your free Pull Ups by mail (I think it is for two) - you can pick boy or girl in a variety of sizes.  These are mailed straight to your home.  It is a freebie from Costco but membership is NOT required.  Don't have a kiddo potty training? Do you know someone who does? Maybe sign up and surprise them with the freebie - you can of course share this post via email or many other social networks!

We are stockpiling sample diapers in the hopes of having a nice little supply started for whenever our #3 gets here via adoption. We've already got about 20 diapers totally free! Nice!

Diapers & training pants are always welcome at homeless shelters and places like Vista's 'Pregnancy Resource Center' - you can always donate freebies you can't personally use to someone in need - share the love!

Yesterday was HUGE!

Hey friends~

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who comes to my blog and everyone who shares it with others! Yesterday was our biggest day yet (by far!) for visits and I truly appreciate knowing that people think it it worthy of their time.
